French Shallots (1LB)

French-style shallots (ours are grown in Washington State) are milder, and sweeter than the more usually available Asian variety – and have a crisper texture and are far less watery than onions. Use them to make herb butters, in sauces, to sauté mushrooms, etc. When Asian recipes call for red onions, it is shallots that are meant.

NOTE: To ensure perishables arrived in good condition, you must select Xpresspost or Fedex 2Day shipping option at checkout. If you are in a particularly remote location, and experience long Canada Post delivery times, even Xpresspost shipping may not be enough.
